FISI Condemns Terrorist act
For Immediate Release:

Fremont, Ca (September 11, 2001): The Friends of India Society International (FISI) condemns in strongest terms, dastardly acts of terrorism on the US soil on September 11th, 2001 and expresses regret and sorrow for the victims and their families. This act marks the worst day in the history of terrorism.

It appears that Ramsey Yousuf, a Pakistani national had attempted to blow up WTO (This too in March of 1993) and was planning to blow up American planes servicing pacific route. This unfortunately, appears to be grand plan incorporating both agendas.

No matter what the political agenda or ideology of those responsible, for such heinous acts, terrorism claims lives of innocent people and the world community must take effective steps to combat international terrorism.

Time has come for US to join hands with other countries like India and Israel, plagued with terrorism to coordinate action, including military action, against terrorists, terrorist organizations, and countries directly or indirectly sponsoring terrorism.

FISI is supporting the efforts of India Development and Relief Fund (IDRF) to help the victims by appealing to all to generously donate tax-deductible funds through IDRF.
